So last Saturday, August 7 (this blog is so long overdue hehe), my friend and I went to the SMX Convention Center for Graphika Manila where esteemed Multimedia Designers from its different fields discuss and showcase their works and the behind the scenes look on how they make them. I would like to narrate the events during August 7, from the morning until evening where it rained cats and dogs.

Bang!!!

Hey there!!!

I have been M.I.A. (missing in action not the singer) for the last three(or two) weeks, well, because I've been too lazy and just a little busy. Nonetheless, I will still blog today despite this week being busier than the weeks before. Well that has always been my thing, blogging and doing unnecessary things while there is a very important schoolwork that is needed to be done for the advancement of my college studies which would eventually lead to a lucrative job in the future.

Anyhow... I was browsing through Refinery29 and chanced upon a new Facebook game to promote Marc Jacobs new perfume for "men" - Bang, which ad features a naked Marc with a giant bottle of the aforementioned "mens" perfume shot by long time MJ collaborator Juergen Teller (See the kinda NSFW ad after the jump).

The game is kinda like poking except you have this "Bang"-ed mugshoot effect (as in the fragrance bottle). The goal of this game is to "bang" and to get "bang"ed, the more profiles you "bang" the more points you get (bonus points for getting banged by people from other countries, and—appropriately—for getting banged after midnight). What do you get when you get banged the most? One special bang player will be chosen each day to win a prize: the fragrance, Marc Jacobs clothing certificate, and even atrip to NYC to attend the MJ runway show. The perks of being banged by a multitude of people from different parts of the world.

Just Can't Sleep Right

Hey there! I have been having some serious sleeping problems lately. I researched that I may have a DSPS (Delayed Sleep-Phase Syndrome) and/or, sparingly, transient Insomnia which could be caused by my adaption of late sleeping times (i.e. 4:00 in the morning!!!) and/or poor sleep hygiene (i.e. messy room?!).

Probably the reason for these sleeping problems maybe that I had been engaged to watching reruns of classic Cartoon Network show Powerpuff Girls (seriously I love them and am hooked once again) rummaging the web for useless and mundane topics like cupcake recipes, Facebook foolishness, and fashion follies.

Due to my inability to sleep right and my curiosity for the mundane, I recently got a preview of next months Vogue, featuring Blake Lively on the cover, with Glee's Matthew Morrison in all his hotness!!!! He is featured here in a fashion story with equally hot Raquel Zimmerman. Gosh!!! I wish I had a teacher like that!!!

Broguing

Good day, today is Sunday meaning Church Day and lazy day(as with most of the days of summer-boring). Had brunch(brunch because I basically woke up during lunch) a while and the food was delicious dinuguan, a Filipino delicacy made with pig's meat and doused in its own blood to be consumed with either a puto or white rice!

Anyways, I've been thinking of getting myself brogues! Yes brogues! I have been obsessed with brogues.

I have been searching for brogues for men(even for women) everywhere within the Makati and Manila area but to no avail. I personally think that brogues are one of the biggest trends in footwear this Spring/Summer. It could be worn with frilly dresses for a feminine with an edge look or with cropped tailored pants for a casual look. Oh well, here are the brogues that I am currently fixated with.

34, Avenue Foch

What another hot day for us in the Philippines, noh? I mean how much more heat could we take. I am literally sweating like a pig last afternoon. I could even get a decent siesta in this heat so instead I watched the new episode of Glee!!! on ETC (which I think was heart warming and heartfelt). My gosh!!! On an odd twist, it rained later but it's still damn hot in my room that it feels like a sauna room. Oh well . . . (sarcastic tone start) perks of living in the Phil . . . (sarcastic tone end)

I am currently lounging around my messy room typing on this laptop while watching Tyra on ETC talking about ODDS (really Tyra!!! Nonetheless it's fun TV) and the ODDS of me stumbling on an interesting topic in the interwebs is 1:1 (I totally made that up), like this video showcasing the Autumn 2010 collection of Miu Miu with models Lindsay Wixson, Mariacarla Boscono, Samantha Gradovile, and Anais Pouliot portraying ghosts at 34, Avenue Foch for AnOther Magazine.

The video personally feels like the bicycle/hallway scene in The Shining.

Creepy Shit!!! I should not really be watching these kinds of videos this late at night - 1:02 AM!!! It creeps the shit out of me. Now the little bumps and noises disturb. Oh well . . .

Cupcake Comebacks

Been on a hiatus since February because of the many projects and activities that I have been busy with because of college.

I am currently at my room sitting at the foot of my bed with the laptop in front of me thinking of clever things to say on this blog while watching a rerun of Gossip Girl's episode last week - The Unblairable Lightness of Being, on ETC. Oh well, what a tiring and sweltering hot summer this has become and to beat the summer heat is to stay cool by creating delectable desserts like CUPCAKES!!!

I have been a secret aspiring foodie and chef, showcasing my cooking (dare I say it) prowess to my family and the dishes that they enjoyed (hopefully) were my desserts. In the past I did Choco Cakes, Panna Cottas, Fruit Cakes and cookies, now I would want to venture on creating cutesy cupcakes.

I recently stumbled upon Ming Makes Cupcakes, as Refinery29 would describe it: a veritable goldmine of cupcake porn you can salivate over and then attempt to recreate. It is truly a dessert lovers site aiming to recreate Cupcakes by Sonja. Ming doesn't only make cupcakes he also makes cookies and savory snacks for those with aversion to cupcakes.

Just look at these delectable delights, aren't they scrumptious!

Love's Soldier

Sade Adu, the frontwoman of the band Sade, has one of the most soulful voice in the music industry since her band's 1985 debut, Diamond Life, which captured my fancy through the soulful smooth jazz classic - Smooth Operator,

As always, Sade is always graceful and elegant and still a beautiful woman even after all these years. This new single is a new path that Sade took and we are just more than happy to take the ride with her and enjoy the richness of the new sound. She is clearly never fading and is still as passionate as her Diamond Life days.

First Post of the Year

I've been really busy and really lazy to update my blog lately for the past four months because of the really crazy things that had happened during the second term. Let me get you up to speed with what had happened in my life during the past four months:

1. I had my birthday during the 12th of November last year, turning 17 in the process.
   
2. I'm at my third term but I failed two of my subjects: DISCTRU and COMPRO2.
3. Mom had her chemotherapy and radiation treatment for her recovery from breast cancer and is recently trying to live a life of an ordinary person by trying to walk through the help of physical therapists.
4. Bade goodbye to 2009 and welcomed 2010 . . . Hoping for GREAT things to come!!!

Anyway, just did a new blog (this one!!!) because I got bored with the old one and got a new blog with a new cute banner which is, I think, is an antithesis of what I might post to this blog. Since I still want people to read my old blogs I still copied my old entries to make it look like I blog much last year (LOL, whut??!!!).

Just enjoy this one because I promise to blog more.

Shows to Watch

OMG . . . Oh My Gawd!!! I haven't updated this gawd damned blog because I have been so busy the past few weeks because of the fuckin' GMO presentation . . . COMPRO1 Machine Problem . . . FILKOMU projects . . . and Final Exams Galore!!! Oh well . . . at least everything's nice and done and I passed the first term . . . Thank You Jesus!!! Oh well . . . at least now I can rest since DLSU-M gave us a week to rest . . . Thank Gawd!!!

Oh well . . . at least I enjoyed being with new people who we immediately "jived" with . . . so 1st term was fun . . . can't wait for the 2nd term . . . what the hell am I saying . . . I am really crazy . . . (hahaha) . . . I'm putting what I am thinking of right now . . . like shit -- I really need to finish projects (personal & what not) . . . I really don't finish projects . . . once I start them I usually get bored and end up not finishing the projects . . . I'm just to lazy (hahaha) . . .

Oh well . . . Imma go for lunch with my loony family . . . like really crazy-wierd . . . Oh wait I must have gotten that to . . . WTF!!! (hahaha) . . .

At least all the midterms are over . . . thank God!!! Now if anyone would willingly allow me to give me money . . . I would do anything . . . hahaha (desperate?!! hahaha)

Two subjects are coming up for the midterms next week: SCIMATB . . . which is basically Biotechnology . . . and COMPRO1 . . . Computer Programming 1 . . . (sigh)

The midterms for SCIMATB is . . . tomorrow (OMG!!!) and still I haven't studied . . . I don't know why but I feel so (in a way) bored and uninterested . . . I wanna go to the mall and shop . . . but alas I don't know why . . . I just feel that I don't want to study right now . . . but I feel hesitant and I don't know where it comes from . . .
